Furthermore a Memorandum of Understanding was exchanged between the Ministry of Islamic Affairs of Maldives and the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia on cooperation in the field of Islamic affairs. The agreement will further facilitate cooperation and engagement between the two countries in matters related to Islamic affairs. The exchange ceremony was held at the President’s Office as part of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s ongoing State Visit to the Maldives. The visit reflects the longstanding and close relations between the Maldives and Malaysia and provides an opportunity to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across areas of mutual interest.
